Celebrating Pentecost

Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is celebrated on the Sunday 50 days after Easter.  It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles of Jesus while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Bible in Acts. Service and soup luncheon was in the Activity Center.

 Women's Ministry

Come and join us! Everyone in the community is invited. You do not have to be a member of our church to be a part of the women's ministry.

 Bible Study

The next Bible Study will be June 11 at 1:00 p.m. We are continuing with  the Gospel According to Luke and the book of the Acts of the Apostles, or Luke-Acts, “one story in two parts,” demonstrate the unfolding of God’s redemptive purposes in human history and present a distinctive perspective on the person and work of Jesus Christ.  Our Bible studies are open to the public. We will not have Bible Study in July or August but will resume in September.

 General Meeting on June 11 - 2:00 p.m.

We will meet again on June 11 and then PW takes it usual July-August break.  On September 10th we will gather for a luncheon and fellowship before Bible Study. At that time, we will begin planing the Celebration of the Gifts of Women service, selecting recipients for the Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, and a date to bake cookies that will be needed to deliver around Christmas.  We also want to discuss the Angel Tree that was done for so many years before COVID and how to instigate that program again.
